Non-contact Temperature Sensors These in-line, non-contact temperature sensors measure to 500 °C up to a 1 m range. The sensors come with a relay output for integration into most machines. Product that is too hot or too cold can be detected and automatically removed from the line.
Prox Sensors Stand up to Abusive Welding Conditions
Place typical proximity sensors—plastic face and nickel-plated brass body—anywhere in the vicinity of weld slag and the slag will stick to the sensor body and possibly burn through the face. For sensoring in automated-welding applications, HTM Electronics, Niagara Falls, NY, used METALFORM’ 05 to launch its MetalHead sensors with Splatter-Guard.
The HTM MetalHead range of 8mm diameter inductive proximity sensors offers an extended range of 2mm. The 12mm-diameter versions offer a 4mm sensing range. The sensor body is completely machined from stainless steel, including the thick sensing face, making the units well suited for rugged applications.
